Walker SoundFX 18895 Performance Exhaust Muffler for Enhanced Engine Sound and Performance Review

Installed on a 2002 Buick Century. It was a perfect fit and was very quiet. Especially compared to the old one. A very good buy for the money!

I purchased a "Walker 18895 SoundFX Muffler" and "Walker 47760 Resonator Assembly" to replace the exhaust system on a 1999 Buick Century Custom. Both elements fit perfectly into existing brackets.

The nipple on the connection to the existing pipe is only a few centimeters long. Cut the old muffler pipe as close to the old muffler as possible. This is my only complaint. Also, I'm very happy and it sounds pretty good.

NO DIRECT CONNECTION. I do not think so. I had to buy an adapter to couple the muffler to the exhaust system. I had to stretch the hangers to fit. I had to cut a hole in the rear bumper cover to ensure the exhaust pipe was seated correctly. But otherwise it fits perfectly. lol. Good thing it's a cheap commuter car.

Almost perfect for my Oldsmobile Century. Had to buy a gearbox from my local auto parts store to fit it. In this case, the muffler is moved further back than in a normal place. The muffler itself is of good quality and looks well made. The sound is quiet like the OE. Hangers fit well.

There seem to be three types of Walker mufflers. I bought the mid-range hoping it would be noticeably quieter, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It's not loud by any means, but it's not quiet either. It seems to be of better quality than the cheap ones. I would be happy if it lasts longer than the cheap one. I tend to drive long distances so the cheaper one lasted 4 years so I hope it tops that. The set is great!
