There is a small hole where the flange is welded to the muffler due to poor welding. No, it's not a tear hole. You can see where the weld didn't finish properly. Water and air escape and are the weak point of the muffler. I tried removing the muffler but the clamps pressed the exhaust pipe against it so you can't remove it without damaging the new exhaust pipe. Now I have to find a workshop to fix her mistake.

Great for 2004 Liberty Sport. Nice and quiet now. Also order the exhaust pipe, a 2-1/4" clamp and 2 muffler nuts. You can remove the old muffler along with the exhaust pipe (one piece) without cutting it if you have the passenger side of the car up. Only downside is that it took me an hour to find the right size muffler nuts

Great muffler for a 2004 Jeep Liberty. But… there are no new flange nuts for mounting in the kit. I have taken the muffler to several auto and hardware stores to have the threads matched. Looks like a simple 3/8 16 thread (also tried metric). Nothing goes with the currents. I had to use the original flange nuts which are not in the best shape. Bought for my 2007 Jeep Liberty. As mentioned in other reviews, you will also need a 2 1/4" exhaust pipe clamp and (2) M10 - 1.5 nuts. You'll also need a set of sockets and an angle grinder with a cut-off wheel, especially if your muffler is rusty. to the exhaust pipe (like I had). I've turned wrenches my whole life and my dad did the same so I've dabbled with Walker exhaust countless times. Their quality is usually good at reasonable prices and this muffler is no different. BUT. It only gets 4 stars because Walker really got the inlet flange bolts wrong.
