Suitable for 2003 Forester 5-speed

Insert between manifold and catalytic converter pipes. When replacing the catalytic converter, a new one must be used.

Works and fits perfectly.

Perfect for my 2000 Subaru Impreza! Replaced catalytic converter, Y-pipe, downstream oxygen sensor and all gaskets and spring bolts. Total cost less than $400.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons

Obd2 code for Cat Efficiency

I have heard that this part is to be replaced with an exhaust leak and found that the cat's rear flange is rusted. The part still worked, but just plan on doing some extra work once you open the stuff up. Cat Efficiency obd2 code is gone.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Volume

Fits and works, what more could you ask for?

This is a simple repair that only requires jacking up the front of the vehicle. I would also recommend buying two (or three, depending on year) spring bolts that secure the linkage.

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Not suitable for Subaru Forester XT models!

Listed as suitable for Forester XT (Turbo) but not. It's too small, I think that's a common mistake as the exhaust shop I took my car to had to try 3 times before getting the right size from the local shop. The quality is excellent, so I give the product 5 stars. However, I was disappointed that the Revain fitted my car, it only fits naturally aspirated Foresters, not turbocharged models.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable shorter than others

Fits my 1999 Subaru Outback

The original gasket in my exhaust system deteriorated and eventually fell apart (who knows where), exhaust fumes leaked under the interior of my 1999 Subaru Outback. The chain store I take my car to for an oil change wanted to replace my catalytic converter (priced at $600) because the flange where it connects to the rest of the exhaust system is badly rusted. Thought I'd try replacing the gasket (as well as the spring and bolt kit while I was there) to see if I could squeeze a few more years…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors
