We installed it in the garage with rivets for durability. The bottom of the rack is about 4ft 6in off the ground, allowing car doors to open underneath. The bottom of the rack adjusts to fit boats of different widths, but both handles fold flat against the wall when the kayak isn't home. Worth lifting my yak off the garage floor so I can use the garage again!

Very durable. I bought them to hang up my kayaks. Yes, while there are more specialized and cheaper kayak harnesses out there, none are as versatile. I have different yak styles and hull depths. They are adjusted to fit securely. They can be folded up when not in use and many other things besides yaks can be hung on them. Not only would I recommend them, I plan to buy another set or two in the future.

These wall mounts are well built and easy to fit. As mentioned before, DO NOT use the included drywall mount if you plan to hold something with significant weight on it (e.g. a kayak...). That is not enough. Go to your local hardware store and spend a few bucks on 1/4 inch screws. 3 to 3.5 inches should be fine depending on your drywall. Install the racks onto the studs. Overall a good product but there should be enough mounting hardware in the kit.

I installed these shelves on the wall of my boathouse to store an 11 and 10 foot kayak. The stands are solid, well made and adjustable. Given the humidity in the boathouse, I replaced the included mounting screws with #14-2 1/4" stainless steel self-tapping screws, which are slightly larger than the included mounting screws but fit snugly in the holes in the posts. I am very pleased with the quality of the Legs and the adjustability is a nice perk I would highly recommend these kayak storage…
