You definitely need to dress in layers if you plan on snow sports, but it worked well for a boy who won't be fit in two years.

It's a great coat for spring in Chicago when it's not cold enough for a heavy winter coat but too cold for a windbreaker. It would also be good for places with milder (but still cold) winters. All features are as described by the manufacturer, but the size 10/12 fit us like too small.

This jacket is soft inside, thick and warm, water repellent. Great for the winter. It's a bit long but love the fit on my son he wears a husky. Highly recommended.

My son really liked the jacket, we bought it for a trip to New York and it served its purpose. It is very warm and soft, very good quality. I would recommend getting a size up, although it runs about half a size smaller than usual.

Great jacket that built into "mittens" keeping the cold out of my 4 year old's arms. The top zips to the perfect height while the hood stays in place.

Lightning strikes so often. After 2 months the zipper on the jacket came undone and now I can't even let my son wear it. What a waste of money

This is a great winter coat. The inner lining is very soft. My son loves the sleeves and the big pockets. We've only had 2 snowfalls so far, but it's kept it warm.

A little thinner than expected, but otherwise ok. My son loves it because it has thumb holes and is yellow. We'll have to see if he gets warm in the snow. Update: Even after a month of wearing, the zipper won't close. Not at all satisfied.

The coat withstood the extreme weather at Winter Park Colorado. Temperature down to 0 degrees. By the age of 11 tubing, skiing and snowmobiling. Excellent purchase!

Bought this for my teenager to have a winter coat. To him that means it's a great coat because he's the pickiest kid when it comes to what he wears. I would recommend this coat.

Happy with the quality of this coat. I got 4/5 in my 4 years in the 70th percentile. It's roomy and will hopefully last two winters. The cuffs have thumb holes so you can easily put the gloves on without pinching the cuffs. My son is obsessed with this coat and insists on wearing it on warm days - in his mid 50s he's sweating in it while running. A lovely coat that would be great for an Ohio winter.

The fit of this jacket is great. I ordered size 10. My son is a very slim 8 year old and shorter than most of his classmates. However, this jacket doesn't look baggy on him. He will benefit from this for several years because he has enough space. This jacket has plenty of warmth without being annoyingly puffy. It's very flattering and the navy blue goes really well with his school uniform. I highly recommend this item.

I bought for my 10 year old. His height is 70 percent and his weight is 60. We bought a size 12 so he survived this winter and hopefully the next. My 11 year old saw it and loved it too. Soon we bought black. The boys are 1.5 years apart but my 11th percentile is 50/50 so we bought another size 12. I highly recommend it.

After a few wears, it became difficult to zip up due to the plastic at the bottom of the zip being bent. But a nice warm coat with nice elastic details at the wrists and waist

I love that it's warm etc but what good is a warm coat if you can't button it up. The cheaply made zipper broke after 2 1/2 weeks.

I'm torn about the review of this jacket. On the one hand it is really great and kept our son warm for 2 winters. We bought him last winter when he was 4 years old; We went for the larger size as we thought we could complement it with sweaters underneath and didn't want to risk outgrowing it quickly. It was a bit big then, but now it fits perfectly. Great jacket for the price, bright colors. The only reason for the lower star rating in this review is a recent development. A metal pin stuck out…

I ordered size 8 (US). He arrived just in time before the sleet and blizzards. I'm very grateful. My son is 6 years old and he loves it. This jacket is slightly longer in the sleeves and has room for an extra t-shirt and sweater to stay warm. The material is perfect, warm and soft. The colors are bright.

The jacket is perfect for this cold winter, my son was immediately enthusiastic. Unfortunately it doesn't fit. My son is 5 and I ordered a size 8 thinking it would last a few years wrong. He's undersized. I will come back and order a size 10-12.
