Ideal for raising multiple chicks indoors

This waterer is perfect for raising multiple chicks indoors. Small enough to fit in a grow box and holds just the right amount. We have raised 3 chicks with it and they are now happy, healthy adult chicks. Now they are standing outside with a bigger watering trough and we saved it for the next chicken breeding.

  • Impressive
Cons
  • Expensive

Okay, problem with the tank filling.

It's ok for the price. I had a problem filling the tank with water. The original hole was so small that no water seeped through. I had to make the hole much bigger to get even a slight trickle. But eventually it filled up, albeit very slowly. I won't buy it again but it's ok for my 6 chickens at the moment.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Not the best

This is a great drinker

I used to buy a feeder/drinker set but I needed a different drinker so I bought this one. I like that it only has a small hole for water to escape. It keeps it filled but not as fast as others I've used. The bottom that holds water is deeper than most, which is another plus. I would buy these again if I ever need another drinker.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Slightly torn

So far so good: Feeder

A bit small overall, but we did it for our 3 free range chickens. It was packaged in a separate box as opposed to the small feeder we bought which frankly was a waste of another box when both would easily fit in the same box. The product arrived intact and in perfect condition. Considering the price, the material seems durable as we only received it today, we'll see how well it holds up.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • String is shorter than others

Now I have some lucky teenage chicks

Now I have some lucky teenage chicks! They've had a growth spurt lately and I'm using the ones with the small jars. They ran out of water twice a day, it seems that this water will last them more than 24 hours. I think they are the perfect size just before they go to a full gallon and then get bigger as I get more chicks. The plastic is a little flimsy, but not flimsy. The handle is quite strong, ideal for hanging.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Weak, won't last long when the chicks are young.

Is "junk" a ruthless remark? I have had chickens for many years and have used a similar model from another manufacturer. My daughter bought this replacement after another cracked after 5 years in the Arizona sun. She saved. It's too small for six or more full-grown chicks without constant refueling, and the plastic material is much thinner. Can work with chicks for six months but no more. The large one also fits and lasts for years. Save money by paying more for ONE.

  • Certified
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Very difficult to fill

This is quite a small container (my fault for not paying close attention to the size). This is fine for large chicks, but you'll be filling it up often, so you'll probably only want to use it for chicks. I gave 3 stars because it is very difficult to attach the bowl (the green part) to the container. (white part). I had to fiddle with it every time, which is incredibly difficult because you can't see what you're doing unless you lift it over your head (dirty water drips on your head, yay) or…

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • vulgarity
