Description of Warm Natural Cotton Batting Craft Size

This batting will not separate, bunch or beard. Needled cotton's flexibility makes it ideal for both inside and outside use. Fibers are held together without glue so a quilting needle glides easily through the batting. No need to pre-wash, machine washable after quilted, can be used as an exterior fabric, quilt up to 10in apart, easily dyes and your fabric will cling to the batting while quilting. Made in USA

Confound. the picture does not match the description.

I didn't look closely enough at the details (I think it's my fault) and my daughter had already opened the packages before I knew it, so I can't go back. The picture says QUEEN SIZE but the description says "Craft Size". It's too small for the project I needed it for so I'm screwed now. Misleading advertising but overall a decent product. Just make sure you read the fine print before placing an order.

Pros
  • The flexibility of the cotton fabric makes it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use
Cons
  • Not sure

This is the best cotton I've ever used.

Like this material. Unfortunately. I expected white hitting but that's my fault. I just ordered the wrong one. Aside from using it for quilting - it doesn't wrinkle as much as normal cotton - I make snowmen out of it and it's great for that. I try to have a "stock" of crib or craft sizes as I don't have a lot of room to work with larger pieces. Will always be on one of my wish lists as a reminder to order more. :)

Pros
  • No prewash required, machine washable after quilting, can be used as face fabric, quilts up to 10" apart, easy to dye and your fabric will snag on batting when quilting
Cons
  • New competitors are here

Decent stuff but not for cloud lanterns

I bought this to make a "cloud lantern" - essentially a Sino-Japanese paper lantern, covered with cotton batting and then made to look like a floating cloud , when the light in the lantern burns in the dark. Unfortunately. It was the wrong type of cotton and I couldn't fluff it up properly. However, the fault was mine and I could see that the cotton was of decent quality and would work well when I needed this type of cotton, which is why I still give it a full 5 stars. But if you're a lantern…

Pros
  • Made in USA
Cons
  • Obsolete model
