Very quickly fades and deteriorates in the sun.

Fits well but fades very quickly. Apparently neoprene degrades quickly in the sun. In less than a year the color has faded from black to a very light blue and the stitching is beginning to unravel. Seller: I've searched and searched for a way to contact the seller and ask for help, but the "Contact Seller" button has been removed from my order.

Very fading after a few months

This winch cover fades a lot after a few months. It comes with a UV protection spray, but there's nothing you can do to keep it from fading. If you care how it looks, don't buy it. Get a vinyl sleeve. Warn sells a vinyl winch cover that should better resist fading. If you don't care about fading then by all means get this case. It fits the winch perfectly and protects the winch and cable from the sun.

Find something with better UV resistance if you can.

Well made case that goes well with the Xeon. I've had it for a year now and have ridden it through the water, forest and beach. He faded very quickly despite spending half his life either in the garage or in the dark. I expected more from a Warn product. Although it doesn't look very good anymore, the functional aspects seem to be holding up well. It remains flexible, dense and water-repellent. If possible I will try to find something else.

WARN winch cover: winch accessories

I generally like the cover. The fit is great and the material is good. I say good because I used to have a mile marker cover on my WARN winch. I placed the MM stamp on the back so that only the black side is visible. I will say that while my Mile Marker cover didn't fit perfectly, it was made much better. It's at least three to four times thicker and just feels like it's better quality. I chose WARN for the exact fit, but I doubt it will last as long as I'm used to. The time will show.

Build quality isn't what it used to be

This is my second Warn case. The first lasted almost three years before it had to be replaced. However, that is another story. The coating turned gray after a few months and I used a UV protectant spray a couple of times. The coating quickly deteriorates and falls apart. The elastic seam does not work. So in a few months it will have almost the same shape as the cover from three years ago. Craftsmanship and quality are far from what they used to be. It used to be about quality. I won't buy any…

Don't worry about towing objects and winches

Received yesterday and the product was not defective. Today I tried to put it on and in three places the seams began to separate along the bottom seam. This item is also NOT SUITABLE if you have a winch attached. If I removed all the wires/solenoid, that could be it. This product is useless if you keep your winch ready to use or if your magnet is on the winch itself and not placed elsewhere. Great product but really fades!

Looks good and protects the winds from bad weather. The only problem is that despite regular cleaning and UV protection (Formula 303), it has faded from black to light gray in 18 months. Works very well for a winch and stays on even at highway speeds. The winch still looks like new. This is particularly important for winches with UV-sensitive synthetic ropes. That being said, I ordered a new case to replace my faded case as it is the best product available that provides the fit and protection I

year in review. for towing objects and winch

I've been using this cover for a year now and overall I like it. So the winch definitely stays dry even in heavy rain. Keeping the winds out of constant moisture will make it last longer, which is good. Synthetic winch rope also lasts longer because the coating minimizes UV damage. Another positive. However, it turned gray and started to get ugly. I'm speculating that UV protection spray does literally nothing, but I can't prove it. Of course the rest of my jeep is scratched and dented so it…

During this time he has done a good job of keeping the winds dry.

I live in an area where it gets up to 100 in the summer and sometimes up to 25 in the winter. I keep my truck outside - no garage. I bought one of these for my Warn 87800 and it lasted about a year before starting to wear out in the top corners of the engine case. During this time he has done a good job of keeping the winds dry and away from the sun. I treated with 303 Aerospace Protectant about every 6 weeks but it still faded fairly quickly. So if you leave your car in a garage, you can…
