Useless Scraper, Total Ripoff

After trying this product, I found it to be incredibly disappointing. The blade dulled after only a few uses and struggled to remove even the smallest amount of paint. The price is ridiculous for such a poorly made accessory.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Overpriced and ineffective

Had a hard time

The main problem is that the blade can swing (rotate) from side to side making it difficult to keep the blade level on the surface and it can stand on a corner and leave a rut. This seems to be because the beveled side of the blade touches the handle and is therefore not tight. Another brand that uses a similar triangular blade attaches the blade to the flat side and holds it securely. Another problem is the ergonomics: the long handle tilts slightly under working pressure.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Better than some other scrapers.

Used for : Heat cockroaches in Victorian homes. Fairing Type: Cedar plank with 2.5" bevel. Planks tend to be convex or flat rather than concave. in the middle. This allows the blade to wobble on the screw and it will come loose as I worked. The blade is slightly convex I suppose to work on a twisted cedar shake or larger circle. The convex shape of the blade in my situation meant the blade was making poor contact with my surface. The handle and head angle felt wrong to me since using the tool…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Quality
