This tarpaulin is waterproof.

I need a tarp to cover the hay in the back of a truck. I travel quite a bit for hay and the weather can change quickly while driving and I don't want the hay to get wet. This canvas tarp keeps the rain out very well when covering my loads of hay that I am carrying. I would recommend this tarp to a friend.

NOT WATERPROOF! LOW WATER RESISTANCE

Seems to be a sturdy tarp that will likely last a long time. But it is by no means waterproof and hardly waterproof. After a few rains today, water is dripping through everything. You need to cover it with plastic wrap so the place is dry. It's a waste of money if you're hoping to protect something from getting wet.

upset. Fits gear

I bought this tarp because it said 'WATERPROOF' which it is NOT! The aim was to protect outdoor devices. After some early rain I noticed the water went right through. I hate returning things, so I use it to protect things from dust in the garage. So if someone is looking for a WATERPROOF tarp, this isn't it. It's heavy as they say and good material but not WATERPROOF!

  • One year trial
Cons
  • Available in black only

NOT waterproof as advertised

The tarpaulin is heavy duty and I had high hopes that it would be waterproof as advertised. After 2 rainy days, a small puddle formed in a place where the tarpaulin was unfamiliar. The fact that the water was puddles was reassuring, but when I removed the tarp, a significant amount of water seeped through. It's a really good heavy duty tarp though, but I feel like it's false advertising saying it's waterproof when only it's waterproof.

Tarpaulin Rolls-Royce

Do you need a tarpaulin that will protect you from most weather conditions except a hurricane or snowstorm? It will probably work. It's extremely heavy, durable, and unlike some other reviews here, it's actually waterproof. I used it for just under a month to cover a pile of firewood and yard waste and it blocked out the rain and stayed in place despite the strong wind. If you need a regular tarp for casual everyday use, you probably won't need it. But if you need something that you need to use

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

We bought 2. Suitable for tarpaulin

Upgrade. One year with tarp, tested all seasons and they are great. Definitely recommended and would buy again. My 4 stars are now 5. The first one had a big stitch, no big deal. The 2nd was solid but in the Pacific Northwest the rain came early and we had to take advantage of it. Seams leak when water sits (within 5 minutes). We thought we fixed it with more supports at the bottom to seal it up and it STILL drips. The plastic tarpaulin may have looked ostentatious, but for a fraction of theโ€ฆ

Fantastic tarpaulin for tarps and fortifications

This tarpaulin is really fantastic. This is exactly how we wanted to cover our pergola on the terrace. Who needs $125 pergola flaps when this tarp better covers our seating area accurately, provides great shade while being strong and durable. We particularly appreciate the eyelets with which we can securely attach the tarpaulin to the pergola with elastic cords. Quickly loosen the elastic cords when we need to quickly roll up the tarpaulin for strong winds or bad weather. Can't say anythingโ€ฆ

Fantastic quality, heavy weight, military grade.

It's a shame I didn't discover this type of tarpaulin many years ago. This tarp is best described as a military tarp made from the same very thick cotton fabric used in the old style pole tent. It also has a very good weight so it drapes very well over items and doesn't look like it will be easily blown away by the wind. I used this as a shade for one of our windows overlooking the driveway which gets sun all day to get some shade and keep the temperature down. Both turned out great. The window
