Since I'm mounting this thing on my wall, I had to make adjustments. Velcro ripped off a small piece of my wall. My cat has never scratched it and the only time she showed the slightest interest was when I dusted her with the catnip powder provided. She loves rubbing catnip on herself but hasn't scratched it yet and I've had it for a few weeks now.

Great idea but the velcro that attaches the board to the wall keeps coming off. In the end I glued velcro to the scratches. The board itself is very nice and thinner than the standard boards I buy from my local store which helps to understand where I had to place it. My cat decided he had to scratch the wall under the banister. I've already repainted this place three times, so now I'm hoping the cat just uses the board.
