Don't waste your money. Weak shelf, poor fastening system, not strong at all. My cat jumped off a shelf one day and the result was a photo.

In general, the product is excellent, but you should not hang it on the wall. I mounted mine to the wall and my 10 lb cat almost fell over. The circuit board slides off the mounting bracket. Needless to say, this is now an outdoor scratching post.
