I bought this Latigo to replace my nylon. When I first unpacked it I thought it was nice and sturdy. I also smeared. When I put it on the saddle I kept trying to tighten it and it wouldn't tighten. Ran it again, same story. So please save your money and buy better leather or just buy cheaper nylon. Very disappointed in Weaver Leather. I'll be back soon.

Good, full-bodied leather, supple. Won't tie into a balanced Fallis saddle without moving the holes to make it longer. The remaining holes should be closer together and there are more of them. The quality of the leather is excellent.

Perfect. High quality full grain leather. Strong and elastic. Well carved, with clean edges and an even tan. Served my purpose well (medieval heavy hand harness with half sword with wooden scabbard). I would buy again without hesitation.

I bought this as a gift for my 13 year old granddaughter. She replaced her nylon latigo with this leather latigo because her nylon latigo wasn't holding the spring. She really likes this one. It really is the perfect length and width and it works great. Due to the good quality I will replace my leather with this one if necessary.
