Terribly awful smell

I've aired this rubber board on my back porch for two days and it still smells as bad as a dirty old ashtray mixed with burnt rubber. The smell makes me sick. Even the clear plastic bag it was in turned a poisonous green-yellow. I sent it back so I don't know how it works. I will not bring it into my house and I certainly will not touch it with my skin.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • weak

No self medication. Good sound absorption. Deformed.

Worked fine initially. Then he twisted, I have no idea how or why. This is not self-healing. After using it for a while, your skin will get stuck in the previous holes, resulting in messy bumps. It was good for noise cancellation. I will try another brand. Maybe it's just the nature of the animal, or maybe there's something better.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Some bugs

Works well but messed up my countertops quite a bit

This board kinda messed up my quartz countertop quite a bit. There is an orange rectangle on the counter where the board was and I can't get it off even after trying 409, Vindex, bleach, vinegar, pine sol and baking soda. Be very, very careful when using this. In my case, there seems to be a good chance that this will still be a very expensive purchase.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Not bad

Best Pickguard Ever

Ideal for driving rivets or punching holes. In fact, it muffles the sound a bit and reduces the vibration from hammer hits. It is of good size and thickness and is excellent for leather goods. Been using (abusing) for a few weeks now. It heals from knife cuts quite well, but not as much as a cutting mat. However, it does what it's supposed to do - it's an excellent surface material for forging and machining.

Pros
  • Great Product
Cons
  • No

Nice Poundo Board on Sports

I have a 1/2 inch hardboard that I draw leather onto and it is the same size as this one. I glue the Poundo board to the back as it really reduces the noise that is created between the hardboard and the table when I'm working leather. Then when I need to use small hammers to punch holes, I just turn the unit over and my poundo board is done. Protect my little hand hammer cutting tips. But it's too soft to use with small hand presses or arbor presses if you use small dies. Harder white…

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Many items

Thank goodness the smell is gone.

Works well as intended in leather treatment. I cut mine in half to make two 6" x 12" mats and glued one to the bottom of my 6" x 12" marble slab and glued the other half to the bottom of the 6" x 12" HDPE board. Why are the dimensions 6" x 12"? I've found that the 12" x 12" work surface is too large for most of the skin work I do. When stamping and stamping leather you are only working in a small area and it doesn't require the extra space of a large work surface for these types of operations…

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • OK
