I prefer this pump when I only have a small number of desoldering pads. I like the metal construction. The button can be easily operated with one hand. It worked well for siphoning solder off circuit boards. It's becoming my favorite tool when working on new projects. I also have a cheap demolition station and a good Hakko pistol. In short, if you're trying to desolder MECHANICAL KEY SWITCHES, save some money and buy an Engineer sucker instead. It will not work. The plastic tip is too big and heavy to desolder the keyboard board.
