I'm surprised I found this. I had one many years ago and after a lot of use I managed to break the tip. But if you find this one on Amazon, direct exact replacement. I've used it on wires, circuit boards, removing components, etc. It works great without electricity, and often you don't even need to use a wick or wicking tool to remove excess material. Hold the tip very close also to what you have soldered (melted) and press the button, the suction pulls out all the solder. double-click to squeeze the remaining solder back out of the tip, or unscrew the tip to let the excess solder fall out.
