that's the best way to always have good solder

keeping iron tips clean is the best way to always have good solder, especially on electronic equipment where a dirty tip can cause the solder is not working properly.

good replacement sponge for Weller soldering station

Delivered as promised. Good soldering station sponges, expand to the correct size when wet. Works well, like a wet sponge.

Once you add water to the sponge it will grow back to its normal size

They work great and none of the reviews that I've read doesn't say anything about it. that they are very thin, and as soon as you add water to the sponge, it grows back to its normal size. Too bad I ordered them a long time ago.

Same as original, best for welding and soldering

They appear to be identical to the standard sponge that comes with the unit. Thus, they are a suitable replacement when the original is too torn. I don't like the lines cut into the sponge as they don't seem to help at all with cleaning the tip of the iron and only serve to have more points to tear off quicker, but replacements are relatively cheap and plentiful not the greatest claim . If you need a sponge like the ones you throw away, this is the one for you.
