Description of Welugnal 4 Gauge Power/Ground Wire: True Spec, Soft Touch Cable for Car Amplifier & Automotive Trailer Harness Wiring - Brown & Red, 26ft each

52 Feet:26FT RED + 26FT BROWN 4 GAUGE POWER/GROUND WIRE - The lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire. Thicker wire presents less resistance to current flow. COPPER CLAD ALUMINUM (CCA) - CCA wiring provides a good conductor for power transfer. This is the most economical option when choosing power or ground wire. Systems that require more power should consider OFC wiring. RUGGED PVC JACKET - Allows free, wide and seamless adjustment of the required physical properties of this wire such as flexibility, elasticity, and impact resistance. EASY POLARITY IDENTIFICATION - This two color jacket allows for easy polarity identification. Making a polarity mistake could be damaging to your audio equipment. Perfect for Radio, Home Theatre, Automotive, Stereo, Robotics and R/C applications

Wire gauge appears to be smaller than stated.

later The wire is much thinner than the 8 gauge I buy elsewhere. The picture shows the 8 gauge wire I already had in blue and the wire that was just sent to me in red.

Pros
  • HEAVY PVC COAT - allows you to control the required physical properties of this wire such as B. Flexibility, elasticity and impact resistance, freely, widely and steplessly adjust.
Cons
  • I'll write

This wire is not 8 gauge as advertised!

This cable is not 8 gauge as advertised! It's 10 gauge wire with very thick insulation which makes the overall diameter look like it's 8 gauge.

Pros
  • Ideal for radio, home theater, automotive, stereo, robotics and RC applications
Cons
  • Nothing here

Excellent stuff. Appears as Smokey Black

Excellent for vehicle interior installations. I use mine to ground stereos. Best price I've found in a long time! The color is more black than brown.

Pros
  • 52': 26' RED + 26' BROWN POWER/EARTH 4-Ground - The smaller the gauge, the thicker the wire. A thicker wire offers less resistance to current.
Cons
  • Negative

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Lots of wires for the price, but not 4 AWG

If I look closely, the wire doesn't match 4 AWG, it's actually closer to 6 AWG, almost 8 AWG. The insulation is very thick, so for small amp requirements like 50-80 amps for a car stereo it's fine, but more isn't good.

Pros
  • EASY POLARITY IDENTIFICATION - This two-tone jacket makes polarity identification easy. Reverse polarity can damage your audio device.
Cons

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Price

12 gauge, not 10: amplifier installation

The wire is ideal for crimping 12 gauge wire. This is by no means a 10 gauge. Far from near. Luckily I didn't need a 10 gauge, a 12 would be fine for my needs, but if I upgrade I'll have to replace the power cord.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some small things
