I purchased this drive to continue using the drive I removed from my 2012 iMac. I also use Boot Camp to run Windows 10 and this dock worked fine on both OSes without drivers. I accidentally ordered this USB-C version, but I have an external USB 3.0 drive with the same USB-B connector, and the dock works well with it, allowing you to use it on older computers with a $6 cable . Windows 10 is recognized almost immediately. I tried two 3.5" drives, but it took a few minutes for macOS to mount them.

At this price point, there is no better disk cloning device on the market. This will clone the mechanical drive to the SSD. Or SSD to SSD etc. Excellent. You don't need to connect to a computer to clone hard drives. But the device also acts as a 2-drive bay, hot-swap drive bay for any SATA drive. Small or large physical size. In this case, of course, connect it to your PC or MAC. Just plug it into a USB 2.0 or 3.0/3.1 port and the drivers will load automatically. I tested it on Mac and PC…

Device works as advertised, at least when used as a basic docking station. I haven't tried using it for disk cloning yet so can't comment on that. However, one major downside I've found is that it doesn't work with hard drive diagnostic software, particularly Seagate's SeaTools. One of the reasons I got the dock was so I could test (potentially) faulty drives. Unfortunately, when SeaTools starts it first tries to scan all connected drives, which results in the connected drive being disconnected

I don't often leave reviews but for that I think it deserves it. Basically it just works. I took a spinning hard drive and put in a new Sata III SSD drive, just clicked clone and it was up and running in about 40 minutes. For the price it saved me so much time, I didn't have to install anything on my computer and worry about drivers and everything, it copied it with no problems.
