My sunfish just loves them and tears through them until there's no thread left. Leaves a little bit of dirt in the form of small shreds, but cleans up easily enough.

Although designed for small hooks, my little Revain loves them. He will stare at a new doner kebab for about 3 days before he finally starts nibbling on it. Then he'll break through a few blocks and leave the rest for the next few weeks. In his youth he ate a whole kebab in a few days, but now he takes his time and enjoys it more.
