Not Worth the Money

Automotive enthusiasts, beware! My analysis of this product showed that the West Coast bungee cord is not worth the price. Although it claims to be strong and durable, it broke after just a few uses. The only pro was the length, which was just enough for what I needed it for. The major con was the quality- it just didn't hold up. Save your money and invest in a better product.

Pros
  • Durable and made of high-quality materials, ensuring long-lasting use.
Cons
  • May break under extreme pressure or weight, leading to potential safety hazards.

Loss of elasticity in a very short time, disappointing!

Bought to replace my kayak's shock absorbers which have lost elasticity after a few YEARS. They seem to work well at first, but after only a few uses the tension started to relax and go away. now feel almost as bad as the cables I replaced. They are only a few months old and the kayaks are stored in my garage so they don't get damaged by the sun or anything. Kayaks are also only used for freshwater, so there is no problem with saltwater. That's rather disappointing.

Pros
  • Tarpaulin and Bindings
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Bungee cords in tarp and zip ties

I couldn't find the right length of bungee I needed so after wandering around looking for this product I settled on it try to make yourself. I couldn't be happier. The 1/4" is exactly what I wanted and is stronger than the bungee cords I've seen at hardware stores so it will be more effective for my needs. I want a really tight stretch. I have the traditional ends added and am delighted with my finished product Much better than the finished variant as I can adjust the length to my needs and not

Pros
  • Hardware
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine
