📏 12 Inch Jeweltone Plastic Ruler by Westcott Review

Call me crazy but I think the ruler should start at 0. This ruler has a rounded edge that adds 1/4-1/2 inch (who even knows since that part is rounded and not marked. It would be better if it was flat on the edge and started at 0.

So my son is studying at home this year so we thought we could try to make it a little more exciting by buying him the colored tools he needs throughout the year. We ordered all blue (which is his favorite color at the moment). We have a purple ruler and green scissors. Why give him the choice?

I ordered this line in anticipation of a new one, taking into account the fact that I bought a new one. If the ruler had a few scratches, I would understand because sometimes something happens during shipping. However, this line looks far from new. It has many deep cuts throughout its length, as well as dirt, numerous superficial scratches and dust.

The first pink ruler I received had a few scratches and a big wound. I kept it anyway because I need it for a project, but scratches and cuts make the ruler feel rough in the hands. I ordered a second one and it arrived in much better condition - not scratched and smooth to the touch. I love the pink color and the line seems pretty solid for the price. I also ordered purple and it was in good condition. I'm not sure why the first one I got was so poorly made.
