There is something wrong with the production of these scissors. There is simply no quality control. If you're ready to trim the burrs from your blades and sharpen them, good, then go ahead. But honestly, for just a few coins more you can get the best pair in the same format from Fiskars, but they have smooth blades (these don't) and much more comfortable handles (they have an odd shape - which can be a problem with such sizes.)
