Not very versatile in the garage

Absolutely useless. You can't mount them on the garage ceiling to detect movement underneath. They only work when sitting on a table or leaning against a wall. If you don't have outlets everywhere, they're useless. 24 hours after the garage light came on, we went to Menard and instead got a wireless motion sensor - made by GE, which was much more convenient and had a longer range - and a wireless sensor that works with a wireless outlet. No need for cables that are too short or too long to fit…

Pros
  • VERY EASY TO INSTALL - Plug in and select desired "off" time, no tools or wiring required. 120V 1200W General Purpose 1000W Tungsten Works with LEDs, incandescent bulbs and CFLs.
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

As advertised: Motion Sensor

Computer, UPS, network switch and more are under my desk. It's very dark in there, even if the room is bright, and if I wanted to mess with the cables (power, USB, network, etc.), I had to take a flashlight with me. No longer. Now there is a row of LED lights "under the cabinet" mounted on the underside of the table, use this motion detection switch to turn them on. Works perfectly. The motion-sensing unit is to the side and far enough behind things that it doesn't turn on the light when my…

Pros
  • PERFECT FOR ANY HOME. Dark corridors, corridors and rooms are ideal for installing this motion detector. The second socket remains free for other devices. A long cord is ideal if the outlet is behind a cabinet or table.
Cons
  • disappears

At the moment it does exactly what I wanted.

I received this unit to use with my wife's low wattage heater that she keeps under her desk in our home office. She often forgets to turn it off when she leaves the room and I come back to the room a few hours later (sometimes the next day) to find it was on the whole time. She even uses it occasionally in the summer, so not only does it waste energy, it also fights AC. Its heating is infrared and consumes a maximum of 500 watts at maximum power (250 watts at minimum power); This is well below…

Pros
  • ENERGY SAVING - Use the wall controls to choose when the lights turn off after traffic has stopped. Available in 1, 2, 5, 10 or 20 minute options to reduce energy consumption. Don't leave the light on all night anymore.
Cons
  • Obsolete Model
