Everything is fine, there are only minor drawbacks.

It is in a BP EN ST85 laptop, manufactured in 2022 . In 2022, it crumbled a little, I had to move all the contents 60-70GB forward, closer to the end of the disk. I don’t know what other people did with the disk, that they warm it up to 60 and crumble after half a year .

I am very upset, the product is no good.

It gets very hot, or rather, warmed up. It was used in a Pavilion dv5 laptop, less than a year and a half later - it fell off. Now I am urgently looking for a replacement, until I finally gave an oak; it nullifies all his virtues.

Best thing I have ever used, highly recommended!

Costs in Acer Extensa 5630g. For two years of work, there are no comments. There are no bad blocks. Noise is moderate. About temperature: I just tried it - I copied files from DVD and ran an antivirus scan in parallel. By the end of copying Everest showed 44°C. As they wrote below, "just the facts. "

Think twice before buying this product.

Two ACER laptops, bought several years apart, had these drives. The result - one failed in a year, the other lived for a year and three months. Fortunately, with the help of R-studio, we managed to recover most of the information, but I strongly do not recommend buying this device.

Four disks of this model have already been collected by me from friends and acquaintances. After 1-2 years of sporadic use, three drives failed. One survived for three years, but ultimately covered himself. Everything would be perfect if he hadn't passed away so unexpectedly, taking the data with him. The WD3200BEVT and WD3200BPVT versions function similarly, according to experience.

Pros
  • Inexpensive, comparatively frugal
Cons
  • Not particularly quick, unreliable, and occasionally noisy

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor quality, not worth the money.

I installed ASUS f3jr in the laptop after making the purchase. It's standard practice to check on BB. Everything went smoothly, and after 35 minutes, 40% of the BB revealed 6. The HDD counter's temperature was 57 t (deg.) when checked. I'll state it right away: operating such an HDD is not recommended! Prior to then, Hitachi had been employed for 2.5 years. He has 27 t and 0 - BB (temp.). Just the facts, nothing personal. Unlucky with the batch, firmware, or model, perhaps.

Pros
  • I think price
Cons
  • It becomes too hot to use in a laptop (s), noisy in comparison to the regular Hitachi, which is barely heard even when you listen.

The purchase did not bring joy, the product is bad.

My creative tale. I purchased an Acer Aspire 5742G laptop in December of last year, and it came with the HDD. The laptop's first problems surfaced after 8 months of use, the first BSoD occurred after a month due to a progressive "crash" on the disk, and loading Windows took an additional 2 months if it did not result in a BSoD crash. Despite this, Windows did not force itself to wait for a long time. Until I repair the disk, I temporarily moved to a more dependable Linux with its JFS. My…

Pros
  • About operating noise or reading/writing speed, I am powerless to comment. got no warmth. In any case, although being in operation for 8 months, he did not provide any cause for even a passing thought regarding these symptoms. This tough one was perfect for my personal, unpretentious taste. Prior till recently.
Cons
  • the service life, in fact. The one negative, in my opinion, exceeds all the others.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product at a good price, I recommend to try it.

It is unfortunate that the disk has such a low rating because it is reliable (unlike HGST disks, on which the mechanics die within one year and there is nothing that can be done to fix this problem), and Western Digital disks, on which, if you remove the fee immediately after purchase and solder the contacts, the disc will serve faithfully for at least five years based on my personal experience with this disc. It is sad that the disk has such a low rating because it is reliable. If you have…

Pros
  • Reliability and consistent performance at temperatures between 40 and 45 degrees Celsius (if you immediately solder the contacts)
Cons
  • The oxidized contacts on the electronics board underneath the disc are the fatal flaw that affects all Western Digital discs. This flaw is what causes defective blocks to be ejected, and it eventually causes the disc to crumble to 95% owing to the chemical oxides that form on the contacts.

Not satisfactory, upset with the product.

I thought about replacing the ST9160310AS in the Asus 1005HA netbook, but after half an hour of working with this disk, the netbook refused because of its noise and hotness. Perhaps for a laptop it will be a normal hard drive, but not for a netbook with which you are used to working in silence Pros below: sufficient volume, speed of work no bad'ov for two months of use Cons below: noisy and very hot (compared to ST9160310AS) incomprehensible clatter of heads during inactivity

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

I was surprised to see a lot of complaints here about the fragility of the device. I have just such a laptop in the PB EaseNote series, which has been in operation for more than 3 years. So much for "short-lived". The machine is used for work, so it paid for itself more than once during this time, but, IMHO, the current price is a bit high for 320Mb. Its pros: Quiet - I can only judge its "moving" by the wink of the indicator. With its cons. The volume is currently modest. And the speed is good

Everything about the purchase suits me, a very necessary product.

He came across to me as a puller in a protected transcend case. Works well and fast enough. Once there was a failure-acronis helped out (the computer to which I connected it was to blame). When editing video, I work with it via USB. Sometimes there is not enough power, but this is probably the fault of the box, not the disk. Survived many drops and sudden shutdowns and still works.

Pros
  • Reliable, for 4 years there was only one failure.
Cons
  • didn't notice

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like everything, the quality is good, the price is reasonable.

I temporarily put it in the PC compared to the old Samsung which was 10 years old and which fell down, this one is much slower for the spindle speed (5400 versus 7200). Got pros: The msi cx 605 laptop has been serving for 6 years already, I don’t know how it is with other disks, but mine turned out to be successful: it doesn’t make noise, it doesn’t click the head. Different cons: The laptop was bought in 2022, there was a time when it was clogged with dust, then there was a real temperature…

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

In general, I don’t know how it is with others, but it has been working in my netbook for more than a year, it heats up like all the hard ones on beeches 50 degrees, well, that’s normal, it’s relatively noisy, there are no bads, and generally at the expense of noise, so that it’s quiet, look for 3400 rpm or buy ssd. I am satisfied with the purchase, I put a solid four.

Pros
  • Low price, large volume
Cons
  • a little warm

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor quality, not suitable for use.

Bought with a laptop based on Core i3 3110m. It heats up to 50 degrees at idle and up to 65 at load. A little less than the processor, but for the processor it's normal. Flying 13 thousand hours. the last time when copying, the laptop hung and the MBR was damaged, the OS did not start. Somehow, with dancing with a tambourine, I restored it with the help of software, somehow loaded the OS, somehow launched a checkdisk with a full check. After 2 (!) days, disk C was scanned, about 90 more bad…

Pros
  • Not
Cons
  • Overheating, Bad-s, unstable operation

Budget hard drive, nothing more.

This hard drive is the bare minimum if you are looking for a cheap hard drive. Extremely slow read/write data (incredibly long boot time. 2 minutes to start Windows 7 plus another 3-5 minutes to kill services and system processes). And the place is very small but only for $30. you can't expect much.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Updates available

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Old drive. Not worth $. Complicated Guarantee.

Broken one month after purchase! I turned off the computer and when I turned it on the next day it was dead. I've spent too much time running a warranty. It wasn't worth the time and hassle. The drive's manufacture date is 2011. I bought a new SSD for $15 more and had no problems. I recommend spending a little more money on something new.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Compatibility

Revainrating 1 out of 5

it's HD on internal hard drives

it's a mechanical HD if you don't know respect DO NOT buy this SSD. Don't complain about the slow read, that's right, it's mechanical HD and slow at 5400rpm. But my daughter uses a USB 3.1 enclosure to add storage to her PS5 and it works fine, doesn't seem to interested as long as the box in which you install it is compatible with the PS5 interface. However, she currently sees no slowdown in games loaded onto an additional drive.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • It's hard to tell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked for several months.

I bought this hard drive at the end of January. I only needed a hard drive for my school computer for text documents, and the small storage space was a big plus for me. It worked fine for a few months, but by the end of April I suddenly got a bad hard drive error. Luckily I didn't have any important files there (good for the cloud right?) so I just ordered an SSD to avoid those hard drive problems. I would recommend it if you're just looking for a cheap replacement. I wouldn't recommend it if…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Very expensive

Revainrating 4 out of 5

High energy. It can function poorly if there is a lack of energy.

I've tried this drive with both a Raspberry Pi 4 (using a USB-SATA cable) and an old laptop. On the Raspberry Pi, the drive was drawing too much power. With a 3.6A (18W) power supply, the Raspberry Pi would display a lightning bolt icon on the screen when reading from the drive and the drive would click at the same time. Also, the speed was terrible. When I tried this on an old laptop (HP Elitebook G3) it worked great. The speeds were pretty high. The drive clearly got enough power. In response

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
