🔧 Westin 22-5001 26-Inch Replacement Saddle Review

The product did not match the description or the instructions that came with it. I had to pay the shipping cost to return the item.

The first review was good advice, thank you. Just make sure you open the doors first so you have room to drill. At first I tried with the doors closed and it was difficult for me, I felt quite stupid when I opened them and got a more direct angle. The saddles looked very nice when put on.

I bought a truck with a worn upholstery. It fitted perfectly and gave me time to decide if I really needed new steps. When he mentioned this to a colleague he needed a different pad but it worked the same for him. I partially inserted the barrel plugs and then drove in the last ones with a hammer, it worked great. A week or so if you step on him and he goes with the rest.

When I looked around for this Westin part, I finally found it at Revain. This step of the replacement uses 7 plastic bolts to hold it in place. Don't bother buying replacement metal clips, just pry open the old broken step and use a 1/4" drill bit to drill out the old plastic stuck in the metal clips. The plastic shavings fall out of the bottom of the Westin Oval tubes, then just line up the pins, push them in and you're done.
