Good quality but needs a screw to secure rotation. Once installed, you can still rock the box along the axis it spins on. It's definitely not going to fall off or anything, it would just be nice if you could capture the twisting motion once it's in place.

These mounting brackets made it very easy to install two fans on our porch. My ceiling was only about 1/4 inch thick so I added small spacers around the edges to prevent the box from sticking out of the ceiling. The fans hang well and are well supported. Very strong hangars. Even on my 24" center straps. I recommend to all.

I've mostly used Home Depot Consumer Electric fan mounts and they're fine. These Westinghouses have some additional features that set them apart. Little touches like a magnet on the box to keep it on the bracket during installation are welcome. In any case, I will be sticking with Westinghouse for the next pair of fans I plan to install.

Despite the description and packaging saying 24" will fit center beams, I don't recommend it. When the bar is fully extended to 24 inches, it sags significantly. We had 2 7" cans which we replaced with triple hangers. None of the screw adapters I found will fit 7" cans. They work great, but if you have a newer house with precast joists (can only be used for the downstairs ceiling - not sure) the 2x4s you put in between will be on their side, so only the bottom half of the plank actually lie touch the beam.
