Don't buy this! at Corers & Pitters

Westmark 2 in 1 Plum Pitter is a terrible product. I've used it on small hard plums and it's been a disaster. He pitted the plum, mashed all the fruit and some of the juice into a container with the pit, squirting the juice everywhere, leaving only the appearance of a torn peel. The blades are very blunt, as are the forked ends - running them across your fingers was like using a butter knife. I've tried using both gentle and fast plunger pressure and it made no difference - fruit puree, mashedโ€ฆ

cats meow. - Tools for fruit and vegetables

Working with Italian plums. Usually dried into prunes or as marketers like to say "dried plums". A few notes along the way. 1, stone fruit. 2, the fruits are so ripe that they will not live tomorrow. 3, orientation doesn't seem to matter, leg up - but breaks. One final note: the photo on the box is a joke. My smallest plum, a real shorty, had 1/2 inch of room under the blade. I measured the poor guy and he was just under 2 inches tall. The largest are 2.5 to 3 inches. It's so big that it needsโ€ฆ

Disappointing utensil for international sale. It is best to provide the sizes of cherries and plums as this device only works with small pitted cherries. Over half the cherries I bought were too big for the cutter and hole. For plums in California, that doesn't work at all. Tiny plums are not sold in the markets. I figured if it was both a cherry and a plum then the sizes would fit both fruits commonly sold in the US. I buy fruit at a farmers market so it's certified organic and not exposed toโ€ฆ
