Amazing as always - satellite TV gear

Whirlwind does a few things and they do them very well. This splitter is amazing. We have several and have used them for years with no problems. Robust construction and clear sound.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not as bulky as other options

Audiophile quality XLR splitters

I bought a pair of these splitters to replace a pair of ART splitters I was using in my balanced stereo system. Accuracy was significantly better than similarly constructed ART devices. Whirlwind was more expensive but if you want quality pay a little more. Removed a star to vaguely indicate Ground Lift is on or off.

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Serves the purpose but why are the components so inferior

Used in a bag to split a mic input between two mixer recorders. Does the job well electronically, but very large for handy work. What I also didn't like was that there was no blocking on the XLR input. The first thing I had to do when I got it was take it apart and drill out the cheap plastic XLR the Whirlwind had built in, then replace with a heavy-duty Neutric XLR to keep the mic cable in-box could be drawn. The decision on how to make cheap money is obviously made by Whirlwind's accountants,

Pros
  • Nice to use
