Slow and Loud on Storage

The hard drive still works, which is always good, but it's very noisy, which is what I'm used to, but still something to be aware of. The hard drive is also very slow as a result, I don't know if I can really recommend it. If you are looking for a cheap alternative and do not value quality, this is the right way.

Pros
  • Storage
Cons
  • Weight

Solid Drive reached 100% health.

Immediately after receiving this 1TB HD White Label, I put it through a 10+ hour surface test with the HD Sentinel. It was perfect - not a single problematic spot was found. It's hard to find reliable HDs these days. Too many show more than 15-25% (the sum of the two lowest ratings) of very dissatisfied customers, which would have been rare 6-12 years ago. As many computer components become cheaper, manufacturers' margins shrink and they lower costs. One way to cut costs is to eliminate quality

Pros
  • understandable even to the old
Cons
  • vulgarity

man. Where should I start. I've bought so many HD SSD hybrids over the years. They call it. literally thousands spent. I used to not buy anything other than Western Digital but succumbed to the lower prices from Seagate and others. but when it came to keeping my data safe, I've always come back to WD. and in general, the slower the drive, the more reliable your backups will be. -- I've spent hundreds on SSDs for speed, but I've had issues with them multiple times. and an expensive thing, I'm…

  • brilliantly made

Slow and noisy - data storage

the hard drive still works, which is always good, but it's very noisy, which I've gotten used to, but still something to be aware of. The hard drive is also very slow as a result, I don't know if I can really recommend it. If you are looking for a cheap alternative and do not value quality, this is the right way.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Some cons

Well the first item they sent me turned out to be defective. I thought it was cables so I connected other hard drives with cables but everything worked fine. It didn't even show up on the drive and made weird noises while loading. So I asked for a refund but guess how much tax I had to pay when I first bought this item and if I send it back I only get the money for the product (tax not included). So should I only pay tax for the defective items they ship to me? I ordered the 2nd product and it…

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Some little things
