Set screw falls out

Nice cutter and cuts well but the set screw loosens and falls out and when you realize it's missing it's hard to find in the trash on the floor if there is any at all. It was thrown back into the farthest corners of the workshop.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Nothing

Very sharp nozzle!: Trim

Excellent nozzle for the first route. I need a longer piece for all deep routes (more than half an inch). I use this for electric guitars. This thing sure can't go any deeper than 7/8 inch. But for a first route it is absolutely perfect.

Cuts smoothly but needs to buy extra bearings

I used it for 1.5 hours before the bearing broke. So my project was put on hold while I bought new bearings. At $8 a piece, they're not cheap, and neither is this piece. Other reviews report the same thing. Next time I'll take a CMT bit. If you need bearings, search for "whiteside b9 bearing".

  • Some flaws

No Allen key is required to adjust the bearing!

I'm sure the bit works well but I can't speak to it yet because I haven't had the chance to use it. I want to make cuts with a jig, but since the Allen key needed to adjust the bearing isn't included I'll have to go out and get one. Turning a hex key into a bit can't cost that much.

Great quality - super good beat.

I paid more for this one bit than a bunch of cheap imported bits. However, I use this nozzle often and it brings joy. Cheap tips are used only occasionally, so I don't have high expectations of them. However, they work. This piece is a delight to look at and a delight to use. Don't knock, cuts wood like butter.

The perfect drill bit for light work

I bought the same drill bit with three different depths of cut: Whiteside #3000, #3001 and #3004. usually found) in the joinery. but they have space to craft furniture and cabinets. I like having all of them as it's easy to work with very similar bits with interchangeable bearings. I only work with the smaller, model #3000, and as expected it worked flawlessly even on very heavy ipe wood. I expect the other two bits to be at the same quality level. Highly recommended.

  • This is amazing

Check the clutch adjustment screw!

I really wanted to like these beats. Not only is the company about 45 minutes from where I live, it's made in America. I was really hoping for good quality. The first time I used the racket it was good. The second time around the set screw seemed to come out of the ring holding the bearing allowing the bearing to ride over my jig and destroy a very expensive exotic wood guitar neck design. I am so disappointed. And of course the tiny set screw is god knows where, so the bit is as useless as the

Ideal for milling patterns!

Bought this guitar jig racquet both neck and body. Since it's only 1/4 inch away at a time, you won't have cracks and it leaves a very smooth edge on your work piece. After using this to guide the top 1/4" you can remove your jig and use your top tracked "layer" as a jig, eliminating the risk of your jig wearing out due to bearing re-running. I use this on my makita 1/4 shank hand router and it works perfectly go slow and it will get the job done for the price this is an amazing deal.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
