Whiteside drawer bit

Good quality bit but difficult to install. Whiteside does not provide a guide for this beat. Once installed, it forms a strong, attractive drawer joint.

Pros
  • Industrial quality
Cons
  • Some bugs

Revainrating 2 out of 5

hard to get the beat in tune.

No clear tuning instructions. Obviously this only applies to thicker boards and not those commonly used in drawer sides. It wasn't clear when I bought the racket. I couldn't make satisfactory connections without leaving unsightly gaps.

Pros
  • Precision ground for proper balance at high speeds
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Excellent cutters, also made in the USA!

Cuts beautifully. I would have liked it better if Whiteside provided a setup guide. They also don't provide a setup block for this bit. But the thickness of your stock will dictate your setup anyway. So keep a properly working sample for future use with material of this thickness. Search "drawer locks" on YouTube. I liked the Woodsmith store.

Pros
  • Whiteside cutters are made of high quality carbide.
Cons
  • Will write later.
