So far so good. Finally to the installation, which turned out to be relatively easy. Unfortunately, the thing is very loud and unpleasant to hear. It's by no means quiet, especially compared to the original, which you can barely hear. I'm considering buying the original because it's so bad. Honestly I wouldn't recommend this if you want some peace and quiet whilst trying to enjoy your pellet stove fire. If noise isn't an issue then it's cheap enough not to be a big deal I suppose.
This motor runs well and is noisier than the original motor, in In my setup it isn't annoyingly loud as others have found. It spins faster than the original motor, so more pellets are fed into the hopper than the original motor. This forces us to cycle on and off because it's getting too hot in our tiny house and we're burning the pellets too quickly, even with the stove running at the slowest feed speed. If we had an oven wired to a thermostat it probably wouldn't be a problem.
Pros
1rpm Whitfield & Lennox 120VAC 120VAC Worm Motor and Gearbox
Media could not be loaded. Our OEM auger motor failed and for a simple plug and play setup it's great. I made it myself in about 15 minutes and it took so long because I didn't pull the oven out for easier access to the back wall. works perfectly again and warms up our room wonderfully. However, when the heat output and fan are set to 3/5 on our Whitfield, the auger motor spins every 4 seconds and it's noisy. It's not so bad when the TV is on, but even that doesn't drown it out. I hear it in…
