No wonder, but a steal for anyone with an HDTV

Anyone with an HDTV and a Wii should have these cables. According to current information, the Wii successor will not appear in the foreseeable future. Previous rumors about a high-definition update for the Wii were debunked by Nintendo at trade shows and in interviews. 480p resolution is the best you can do and the small investment in these cables is well worth it. Making an entire collection of games better rather than spending the same money (actually a little more money) on another game…

Wii Component Cable Review

Wii Component Cables work great with Nintendo Wii hardware and my Aquos HDTV. colors are bright; and while there are more notches, the overall picture quality is much better than composite cables, which by the way are bound to end up in landfill somewhere. I'll applaud these game companies when they finally get going at full speed. and include the cables most gamers need to play the "next gen". Giving you composite cables is like giving a two-year-old a cardboard book to read. It just doesn't…

Don't risk third party junk

I shudder to think how much money I've spent on video games and accessories over the years. A rule I've had since I got my first system (NES when I was 4 years old) is that with proprietary technology I ALWAYS buy the first batch, even if you pay more. You and your friend can buy seemingly identical third-party accessories, but they can be great and yours can be complete crap. The supply of quality third-party products is such that every time you get one is utter bullshit - maybe you're lucky…

OMG 480P?! Oh wait, 480P.

This cable thing does what it's supposed to do - lets your Wii handle that progressive scan crap. Using magical science, Nintendo has created this cable of very durable quality with beautiful, smooth, clean connectors that connect to your TV simply and exquisitely. It's quite expensive, but if you want 480i to be 480p, what else are you going to do? Hot wire fuck thing yourself? You don't know how to make such a cable, stop thinking about it. However, the odd thing is that since the Wii is 480,

Definitely an improvement

While Nintendo has yet to make a breakthrough in the modern HD market, they are at least making steps in the right direction. The cable works well, the clarity and sharpness of the picture have noticeably increased. However, I had to do a bit of work myself to set up and use this product. The problem was that you had to manually switch from 480i to 480p in the Wii menu; The console will not automatically switch from one to the other just by changing the cable. The problem is that you can't do…

Wii component for 480p. I would like HD.

Nintendo component cables work quite well. The cables are quite thick and you can see a difference in visual quality if you know what to look for. Some people who can't tell LCD from plasma may not be able to tell 480i from 480p and for those people I suggest sticking with what you have. For everyone else, this improves graphics quality on an HDTV that accepts 480p. I had a bit of trouble initially as all the colors were off, but I found that the cable wasn't fully plugged into the back of the…

Overpriced but works great

If you've been playing console games for a while you're used to overpriced accessories and the Wii is no exception. Proprietary SD cards, proprietary adapter component cables, $20 for a nunchuck, etc. If you're willing to pay a premium for a first-party warranty, this cable is for you. After using the Wii for months and having to crawl around the entertainment console every time we moved it (it's a hit at family reunions and other gatherings), I decided to try a different AV cable. So all I had
