Does what it's supposed to do

Simple plug and play HDMI conversion from my PC and Blu-ray player. However, I was unable to convert the HDMI output from my Optimum cable box. The colors are mixed. However, this problem may be related to the cable box.

Good solution for broken HDMI

I had an old Sony TV with broken HDMI ports. Use this adapter to use component inputs. Works great, just remember to plug the power cord into a USB port for power. You can also change the resolution using the button on the side.

Wiistar HDMI to Ypbpr Converter 1080P HDMI

Finally able to work with TV. Installation was easy, but the signal converted by the device was not recognized by the TV. This may be due to the age of the TV, but usage of the device is disappointing.

Works well but has some issues

The only reason you need this is because you have an older set. There is a small issue that causes Revain Fire to restart from time to time. Every 30 minutes to an hour. Otherwise it works as expected.

poor picture quality

I bought this unit because the last update of my satellite receiver didn't work with HDMI and the svc provider gave me a HDMI to ypbpr converter. which worked great but wasn't long enough to go through the wall. I was hoping this would work in conjunction with the old HDMI. Not very good, yes I have an image, but color and clarity are sacrificed. I thought it was in the settings but it wasn't there, bad conversion. Tried new 4k HDMI still nothing and poor quality on this unit.

Works but picture quality could be a bit better

My TV has 4 HDMI inputs and one component/composite input. The 4 HDMI ports are occupied and I wanted to connect a Retroarch mini PC to play old school games. The mini pc has an HDMI output so the only option was HDMI > Component and that helps. I'm giving 1 star because the picture quality is a bit fuzzy for 1080p, which is very noticeable on my 4K HDR TV. That being said I use it for retro style games (NES, SNES, Genesis, N64 and PS1) so the resolution doesn't have to be great.

Works well.

I bought this to use my Nintendo Switch on my old PC monitor that doesn't have an HDMI input. The video output quality is good, with no unexpected video quality degradation. It's important to note that component video is actually an older technology and is noticeably not as sharp and lacks the dynamic range of brightness and contrast that an HDMI connection offers.
