Not salsa, but looks great and works well.

Looks great and works great. Added a little flair to my son's Kona Lanai. The originals have seen better days, so these fit the bill.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Quick release great quality

Absolutely perfect. I bought this to replace a cheap quick release wheel that was new with my son's 24 inch mountain bike. It fits perfectly and works perfectly. Good product.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Bought for an emergency

Bought these when buying a bike online and UPS lost the end of the skewer that came with it. I bought these and they fit great on the large frame 27.5 inch GT Aggressor bike. That's fine, life saver

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Having doubts

Not the most functional

These skewers are cosmetically beautiful but lack the fastening power of big brand skewers. I secured the rear skewer to keep it from popping out, but it keeps popping up if you pedal hard. I will look elsewhere for a stronger better product.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Periodicity

Fits my old diamond coated reel

My kids are starting to ride bikes and I pulled a 15 year old diamond coated reel from storage to ride with them. The wheels were off and for some time I didn't know which part I needed. I measured the hole and they were the right size and worked great.

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Nice to look at and use

This skewer axle feels solid and well made. I like that the nut is a solid piece of aluminum. So when you turn them, the motion turns the threads directly, rather than transferring that energy to another element. The look of the level is great, and the movement when closing it makes it feel solid and well designed. Excellent aluminum finish. Really couldn't be happier with it.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Not the best. in cycling

Suitable for light cycling, do not use for off-road driving. They are constantly loose and need to be tightened. If you're driving you probably won't have a problem if the road is bumpy, check it often. I bought these to replace a worn out set of skewers on my trail bike, that was a mistake, they don't last very long and don't stick at all depending on the tire size.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • small parts

Gets the madman's approval.

I have an entry-level mountain bike (Diamondback Line) and regularly ride flooded sections where the wheels are completely submerged in water as long as I pedal well. It's okay, we all mountain bikers are crazy and expect our bikes to handle our weirdness. Everything on the bike held up except for the quick release skewers which were rusting like crazy. I just put them on and they seem so heavy compared to them, they are much better made. And the threads run halfway up the axle so I don't have…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
