Great price but where is the mast!

Excellent price for this product, a pity they always send me without poles and you can't just call someone and fix it, you have to return it, order again and then do it again . Hope someone fixes this!

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • For pensioners

Amazing antenna best in accessories and supplies

Used these during a cross country drive and had a Wilson 300 Lil Wil in another car. Both worked great and were very clear. Very pleased and easy to install, this thing doesn't budge and we went 80 most of the time. The magnet is HEAVY.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Excellent antenna, works well with Antennas

The magnet on this huge and very powerful antenna is at least 4 inches in diameter. I seriously doubt it will go off in a 300 mile tornado! managed to get the SWR below 1.2:1 on all 40 channels! It's about 2 inches longer, so you may need to trim it down a bit when setting it to the lowest SWR. I highly recommend this antenna.

Beautiful antenna Best in Accessories & Consumables

I bought this antenna for a friend of mine for her birthday! (Cool girl wants a radio antenna for her birthday) It's quite a large antenna for her car, but it looks cool. With her little 4-watt cobra, she can talk all over town. We checked the SWR and it was around 1.3. I am planning to buy another one for the roof of my apartment.

Do not buy.: Accessories and consumables

Do not buy! The antenna fell apart immediately after delivery. The base felt wobbly when I attached the antenna to the washing machine to test the magnet. I looked under the scratch resistant sticker on the bottom and the nut was tight. Hm? Then what's shaking? When I tried to peel off the sticker (with my fingers. I mean how little force?!) the whole magnet fell out of the base. The problem was obvious. There is a large magnet on the bottom which is nice to the touch and a large nut holds it…

Pros
  • Accessories and consumables
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Just get the Wilson 1000

I received the antenna and base with mine so don't let these reviews put you off. I've just returned to CB radio after 15 years. I used to have a Wilson 1000 but wanted something smaller. This antenna has a thin RG58 coax cable and no detachable PL259 for inserting coax cable into small holes, nor a screw at the base of the antenna. To remove the whip you need to use an Allen key. If you don't know what I'm talking about, the Wilson 1000 has a screw on the PL259 coaxial connector and the pin…
