Description of Wilwood 260 6764 Bore Master Cylinder

Quality high volume Wilwood 3/4" Brake Master Cylinder. High volume, die cast aluminum master cylinder holds 8.2 ounces of brake fluid. 26% more fluid capacity than other master cylinders. This helps to keep you brake fluid cooler. Includes formed steel lid, bellow type gaskets, internal slosh baffles, and standard mounting dimensions. 1/8" NPT single outlet. The bigger the master cylinder is, the more fluid you get but you'll have less pressure at the caliper. The 3/4" master cylinder is the recommended size for most throw-out bearings.

Race car quality good for parts

My last Wilwood master cylinder lasted 20 years in my off road racing and is still working. It was a good time to replace it and keep the old one as a spare. This is a great product.

Pros
  • Master Cylinder
Cons
  • Negative Impression

Good Master Cylinder

When used on my 1972 Datsun PL521 with a 1984 Nissan Frame/Chassis it fits with relatively few modifications and works great. The vertical mounting holes were the reason I chose this part.

Pros
  • Replacement Parts
Cons
  • Compatibility

Wilwood Master Cylinder Review

I've been having trouble with the 3/4" master cylinders on my SUV for a while. I've had to constantly bleed the brakes. There was no air in the system so I assumed the problem was a was insufficient displacement so I switched to a 7/8" fitting. I fitted this new master cylinder and have not had to brake at all and it stops the car quickly. A big improvement over my previous master cylinders and I am very happy with it Product.
