Description of 🚴 Helmet Wind-Blox Pro XL - Advanced Wind Noise Reducer for Enhanced Riding Comfort

lycra spandex. FOR SENSITIVE & PROMINENT EARS: The Wind-Blox Pro XL is the ideal wind noise blocker for people with larger than average ears, or for people with hearing aids. The longer length of the Wind-Blox Pro XL’s strap allows for increased comfort when wearing a helmet, so even with sensitive ears, your bike-riding experience can be safe and enjoyable. AUDIBLE RIDING: The Wind-Blox Pro filters out around 80% of wind noise, allowing cyclists to keep the sounds they want and remain tuned into their surroundings. Unlike earplugs or headphones, this specialized accessory does not cover the ears or obstruct hearing in any way. In ambient testing of this product, there was actually a gain of desirable sound. Not best for use with large rigid-temple sunglasses. EASY TO ATTACH: Unlike similar wind noise reduction products, the Wind-Blox Pro XL features a patented rim-to-clip design that makes it simple to fasten to bike helmets. Helmet straps do not have to be unbuckled in order to install this product. It is ideal for adjustable-clip helmets with straps closer to the face and in front of the ears. The Wind-Blox Pro XL is removable and machine-washable for easy maintenance. LOW-PROFILE: With the Wind-Blox Pro XL, you can finally switch out those funny earmuffs for a more low-key product. Engineered out of modern sports fabric, it is designed to look hi-tech and is perfect for riders who prefer their gear to be simple and understated. The only thing about this product that stands out is its reflective lettering, which was incorporated to facilitate greater nighttime visibility. WIND-BLOX QUALITY: Mike Fajen’s work as a professional engineer drove him to find a solution to the wind noise bicyclists encounter on a daily basis. This initial discovery along with his passion for audible riding that formed as a result of it has driven Wind-Blox ever since. Fajen has created, tested and championed each product the company has made since its inception. The Patented design Wind-Blox products are made to last, and guarantee safe and enjoyable bike-riding experiences for years to.

Must have for cycling

I don't understand ratings under 5 stars. I bought this after having an e-bike for a few months. The sound of the wind, especially when I wasn't listening to music, was so loud that it actually took the fun out of the ride. Was excited to find this. It's so easy to put on my helmet and it makes a HUGE wonderful difference - thank you!

They really work!

While they don't completely eliminate wind noise, they do it exceptionally well. I hear others say a lot more than I used to. I estimate this reduces wind noise by at least 60% or more. I'm a retired audio engineer and am trying to figure out how to accurately measure the actual reduction. However, I will recommend them.

  • Permanent test results

Want to hear your tires slamming on the pavement?

These Wind-Blox reduce wind noise but don't eliminate it. It's like driving with a tailwind when you hear the tires rolling on the pavement more than the headwind. It took me some time to get used to the definition of my effort/speed. I used to use wind noise plus my speed as a headwind indicator. I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for the chunky sideburns and the fact that they only really reduce wind noise to around 5 mph, meaning wind noise with a Wind-Blox at 20 mph is roughly equivalent to…

Slight reduction in wind noise

To get even a slight improvement I had to tighten the helmet's chin straps very hard, which made them uncomfortably tight. I've tried my best to make them work, backwards, upside down. (4 different options). They just don't do much. It would be nice if they stated a performance improvement in dB, since human auditory sensitivity is not linear (dB is actually proportional to the logarithm of the ratio), the marketing is misleading. They compare poorly to soft foam earplugs with more than 20dB of

Slightly reduces wind noise!

I like these. They work as advertised and work well (as long as you keep your expectations under control). Wind noise is not eliminated, but significantly reduced. I definitely notice a difference with them and find that the reduced wind noise allows me to hear more of my immediate surroundings when wearing them. This helps a lot when driving around town as you always have to be aware of the traffic around you! They look a little weird and bulky, but nowhere near as weird as fluffy ones. I can…

These things work very well!

I wear hearing aids to compensate for a moderate hearing loss. The noise of the wind is always so annoying that it is uncomfortable to drive against the wind. I installed this product as stated. It was a very simple process. I just had to lengthen the headband that sits in front of my ears. This resulted in slight adjustments to the straps behind the ears and under the chin. Installing the two windshields took less than four to five minutes from start to finish. Comfort was also good. After two

Easy installation, reduces wind noise

I bought these headphones because of excessive wind noise when cycling with headphones on. I can hear you but I listen to The Nerdist podcast so it's just conversation and not too loud that I couldn't hear it over the wind noise. I still hear cars approaching behind me, or even other bikes. i have to live my life With the headphones I used, I still had too much wind noise. The headphones were inexpensive Bluetooth headphones that otherwise work great, but they are too "big" meaning they stick…
