Windshield Bracket Suction Uniden Detector Review

I bought this mount for a Uniden R3 in a 2021 F-150 based on a 3 suction cup design that attaches the detector to it prevents excessive vibrating. While the suction cups held onto the window fairly well, the mount still bounced the radar detector badly. The truck has pretty stiff suspension and the roads where I live are very bumpy in places. However, I replaced it with a device that attaches to the back and that fixed the bouncing issue.

I bought this mount before a long car trip and didn't want to remove the mount that came with my metal detector from the car. It stayed on the windshield in hot and cold weather, didn't move or come off at all. I've been on the road for 2 weeks and haven't had any problems with this mount. Put it on and give it a nice hot sniff just before attaching it (just like you clean your glasses).

I've been looking for a new mount and it's perfect! At first I thought it was more like "Chinese crap”, you know how it is. always hit china things. But my factory mount (uniden) bounced the detector. I think the suction cups on the old block are to blame, I bought new ones, same problem!
