Review on Windshield Bracket Suction Uniden Detector by Christian Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Forget the normal mount! Get this!

I've been looking for a new mount and it's perfect! At first I thought it was more like "Chinese crap”, you know how it is. always hit china things. But my factory mount (uniden) bounced the detector. I think the suction cups on the old block are to blame, I bought new ones, same problem! So I looked for another mount and found this one. 3 suction cups. It really works! Think about it. IF you have two, this may cause the mounting tab to swing up/down or jump! If you have a suction cup on that third axis, it can stop that movement! And that's exactly what it does. Also, the tongue is a hair thicker and longer, which doesn't allow side-to-side movement, the factory allowed the detector to wiggle left/right. It supports the weight better and does not cause problems with the locking mechanism inside the detector. I know it's just a detector mount but it's one of the best I've had in almost 15 years! The suction cups are deeper than the factory ones, which allows it to act as a suspension, absorb movement, etc. It's perfect! Great job whoever did it in China! If you have Uniden 850/950, r1/r3 then this is for you! I don't know if this works on the latest R7 but you can always try! absorb wobbles etc. That's great! Great job whoever did it in China!
