Works well 60-80 miles

I live 60-75 miles from major cities where most radio stations are based. I got them now and this is with the antenna laying on the ground. not install yet. There weren't many stations before. It doesn't have to be a directional antenna, so I can receive stations from all directions. Works much better than the wire dipole antenna for my stereo receiver. Pretty happy.

a bit big for a "small VHF antenna "

This is a bit more than I expected given my search for a "small VHF antenna", but it still works great before I put them on the street. Roof. Specifically, it picks up a weak FM station from about 47 miles away. Now, if you actually take it outside, care must be taken to properly ground it. The box includes an information sheet for proper grounding when installed outdoors on a roof.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes

  • Reliability

It works! in antennas

Wow! He really does what he says he can! For my situation it works as advertised. My Denon AV with its tiny internal VHF antenna was not working. So I bought a high-priced one? TERK indoor FM antenna. This antenna turned out to be a joke. I didn't even want to take the time to return it so it went in the bin. I then hooked up my Denon to an outside TV antenna, which actually worked pretty well. Except my favorite FM station just wouldn't turn on. A Winegard HD-6010 HD VHF radio antenna…

Vintage Stereo: Connected signal strength indicator.

Purchased to improve FM reception for vintage receivers (Marantz 2325) and tuners (Sansui TU-717). I used a simple dipole antenna and (sometimes) a Sony Loop (internal) antenna. Both are similar to those sold here. No comparison, not even close. As soon as I connected this Winegard antenna to my stereo, it completely blocked its signal strength meters. Stations I had trouble with are now strong and clear. And I haven't even installed the antenna outside yet, it's sitting on top of one of my…

An excellent combination of price, functionality and simplicity.

I needed something better than the simple dipole wire antenna that came with my receiver and this antenna was perfect for my needs. It's designed specifically for FM and includes FM stations that I wasn't expecting. It's also smaller and less intrusive than a regular TV antenna, so I don't mind putting it on the roof. Since I already had coax on the roof and the antenna was small and omnidirectional, the installation was almost trivial. Also, it has no active components, so I expect a *long*…

Update: Do not buy, will not last:

UPDATE: avoid this antenna, besides mediocre performance, it worked at the first gust of wind. The locking mechanism is a cheap flimsy thing. See photo. This antenna went up slightly after I replaced the MISSING matching transformer from the Revain Warehouse deal (come on Arizona, at least inventory the parts before you sell them on!). This antenna is an omnidirectional dipole and will mostly receive all transmitters in all directions. I have strong stations in the east that cover most other…
