Description of WINGONEER GP2Y1014AU Detection Arduino Conditioning

Dust Sensor based works well in detecting very delicate particle, like cigarette smoke, is a commonly used system of air purifier. Contains IR LED and photoeletric transistor. Arranging them with across corners can detect the reflected light of dust in the air. It has a ultra-low power consumption(Max at 20mA, Typical at 11mA ), and can be equipped with sensors up to 7VDC. Analog voltage is proportional to measured concentration of dust, and sensitivity is 0.5V/0.1mg/m3

Great sensor, perfect for DIY computing

After I put it to the test, I was impressed by how accurate and precise this sensor is. It`s also very easy to add to your DIY computing project. The pros of this sensor are that it's affordable, accurate, and reliable. The only con I can think of is that it can be a bit tricky to set up initially. However, once you get it working, it's a great addition to your computing arsenal .Highly recommended for anyone looking to add sensors to their DIY computing projects..

Pros
  • High accuracy and quick response time for air quality detection
Cons
  • The product requires soldering skills for proper installation and use.

Great sensor for DIY projects

Through trial and error i found that this sensor WORKED great with my Arduino. It's a versatile board that's easy to use and program. The sensor is sensitive and accurate. Its great for detecting air pollutants and allergens in the home .The only con is that the documentation can be a bit challenging for those who are new to working with single board computers. Overall, a great product for computer enthusiasts looking for a reliable sensor for their DIY projects..

Pros
  • Accurate detection and conditioning of air quality using advanced technology.
Cons
  • Difficult to set up and use for those without previous experience with Arduino programming.

It will show a reading but is not accurate.

Sanyo has improved its original design, but after careful calibration, the reading is still far from accurate because the rate of voltage rise is not linear with real particles in air. The device also outputs large fluctuations at low levels, so that all readings below 30 µg/m3 are very inaccurate. Look for the PMS5003 sensor these days which is much more accurate. The assembled detector was only $40, which is hard to justify the cost of assembling your own.

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • Operating speed
