Replacing the old noisy

I have a large aquarium and my old water pump has failed. This one is much bigger, higher quality and more powerful, but it's so quiet. Enjoy it. Has 3 different nozzles and a long power cord.

Works very well with aquarium pumps and filters

Waterfall appears to be a lot more powerful than the 560 GPH SmartPond pump it replaced. The water in our large pond is much cleaner, and the best part is that it's less than half the price of a SmartPond pump I bought at the hardware store. It was a good buy.

Low Flow - Aquarium Pumps and Filters

I decided to test this pump before actually using it. At 1050 GPM this pump should be able to move 17.5 GPM. I tested it with a 5 gallon bucket and gave up after 2.5 minutes as it didn't really seem to be doing much. The valve was fully open, but it didn't even squeeze the kinks out of the soft, open garden hose. Returned.

Big money savings compared to popular brands

After a pond shop tried to convince us that we needed a $140 pump for our home made fountain, we settled on this pump, and she was amazing. We only have about 3 feet of buoyancy so we put the pump on the lowest setting. At full power it fires about 8 feet in the air, so let's keep it low. Quiet operation, the last month works well.

Compact, silent, short power cord.

I replaced the 1050GPH and the flow was just what we wanted. This model when fully open is 1/2 the water flow for our small pond. If we sit very still, we hear the waterfall, otherwise it is too small for us. We have mosquitoes and I need an active waterfall. My pond has just been cleaned, all surfaces have been wiped down with cloths, I think the problem is in a small tube. (less than an inch).

The performance of this pump is not as advertised. It's closer to 450 GPH.

Website, packaging and unit list it as a 100 watt, 1050 gallon per hour pump. Checked with a voltmeter and measured the flow. It's just over 40 watts and appears to be going at around 450 gallons per hour. I also did a direct flow comparison with a Smartpond 500GPH 42W pump that I was looking to upgrade. A SmartPond pump that has less than half the capacity of this pump will fill the bucket faster under the same conditions. False advertising. If you're looking for a 450 GPH pump for around $30…
