WirthCo 94150 Funnel King Graduated Measuring Container - 3L Capacity for General Use Review

I had high hopes for this product but am very disappointed. First, that damn sticker didn't come off easily. Not knowing what the plastic was made of, I warmed it up a bit under the warming light above the stove, then tasted the alcohol. The glue doesn't smear even where I managed to peel the sticker off a bit. At this point I moved on to the Goof Off product. I had a hard time pouring hot water over the label to soften the paper enough to scrape it off THEN use Goof Off to remove the adhesive.

This is an excellent polypropylene measuring cup. The fact that it's made of this plastic means it's chemically resistant. I used to use a cheap "Betty Crocker" plastic measuring cup but quickly found that it was NOT resistant to chemicals like stabilized unleaded gasoline or concentrated herbicide. Basically, the chemicals in these mixes have softened the clear plastic and made it cloudy. This made it difficult to get accurate measurements. Also, I don't like the idea that what I'm measuring…

If you use US units all the time, this measuring cup is perfect for you. But when you need to measure any amount of ml less than a liter in the metric system, then that's a bit odd. The mug holds one litre, but the scale is shown in fractions of litres; 3/4 liter, 1/2 liter and 1/4 liter. It's really uncomfortable. Let's say you need 600ml. Well, you have to remember that 1/2 liter = 500ml. Then you need to count the divisions and by finding the 5 basic divisions between 1/2 liter and 3/4 liter
