This is a cheap air filter. I've decided to buy the cheap ones twice a year instead of the expensive ones once a year. Fits my Outback 2017. Works like an air filter.

is a well made product, only minor issue is the felt seal is a little thicker but with little effort the cover can be pushed to close. It has more creases and appears to be lighter than the OEM. I recommend it.

Installed on a 2011 Subaru Forester XT. It fits snugly in the air box and is a good replacement for the engine air filter. The filter thread is thick enough to prevent dirt/dust from entering the engine. Change the air filter at least once a year! This affects the performance and mileage of your vehicle.

The flange is thicker than the factory part and is difficult to close on the housing. The trick is to treat the bottom attachment tabs like a loop and not let them come out of the slots. Open the latches, firmly pull back the top edge of the case front, pull out the old filter, firmly insert the new filter, making sure the tabs do not fall out, fold it back and close the latches.

2015 Crosstrek. I recently bought a used Crosstrek from a private dealer. After replacing the air filter, I found that one side of the plastic box that contains the air filter (not sure if that's the correct name) was not flush when this air filter was installed. I'm not sure if the plastic box is the problem or if this air filter doesn't fit properly. I took out the air filter and closed the plastic box without it and it closed properly.
