Slightly thicker, may be difficult on some models.
The flange is thicker than the factory part and is difficult to close on the housing. The trick is to treat the bottom attachment tabs like a loop and not let them come out of the slots. Open the latches, firmly pull back the top edge of the case front, pull out the old filter, firmly insert the new filter, making sure the tabs do not fall out, fold it back and close the latches.
