Plastic hardens softer than the original material

I knocked off the black plastic edge of the tailgate paneling with a tow bar. WISPAUSU PP PVC PE Plastic Welding Wires were easy to handle and operate. I was happy with the repair, but a slight bump while loading material onto the truck bed resulted in a pothole. This will be an easy fix, but I was a bit disappointed to see how soft the repair material was compared to the original. In general I am satisfied with the purchase, if necessary I will buy more.
