Doesn't work with my Duramax

Large fan with WIX filters. I installed a fuel filter on a Duramax and can't stop it no matter how tight it is. Just my experience.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • disappears

7 micron filter only

7 micron filter only. My LBZ Duramax started idling after a day of installing this filter. I removed it and put in a 4 micron filter, all is good

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Little change

Perfect fit and great price

I've been using WIX filters on my 2007 2500HD since we bought it new 14 years ago. They always work and fit perfectly and I've had absolutely no problems.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Frequency

High quality filter, 7 micron rating

We've had great luck with Wix filters on our Duramax diesel engines. They are well built and have a 7 micron filter, better than most that are only rated 10 microns or more.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Works as it should

I've used Wix products on every device I own. That seems to be doing a great job. And when swapping out another Wix unit, I found that you can remove the flat head filter and check how dirty it is. Maybe all of them, but that's the only one I use on my Duramax.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Not bad

Excellent but not the best

I prefer the metal body filter as do other reviews which leave me in doubt as they report leaks and the like. I had no choice but to try this as my regular racor was out of stock and wouldn't be coming anytime soon. This WIX filter worked very basic compared to Racor, maybe just me? In my experience so far there are no leaks and it does what it's supposed to.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great for Duramax Lbz

I have been using Wix filters on my cars for over 15 years and have never had a problem. This fuel filter works great on my 2007 Silverado HD with lbz engine. I can remove and replace the top without removing anything. Last year due to a leak on the booster pump I had to replace the entire fuel filter housing and when I did it the AC delco filter was also included. I installed it with Delco filter. When I went to change it, I had to take the housing off again to remove the filter. The Delco is…

Great filter! I advise!

I don't know where all the fuss about the plastic it's made of comes from. I have a second plastic and I don't care. I tried using a cheaper metal filter from a local auto parts store and it didn't fit. I struggled with this for about an hour thinking the problem was on my side. Due to its shape, I had to swap this and the metal filter through the passenger wheel housing, it was not easily accessible from above. After that fight I bought a WIX 33960 (I have a 2003 Duramax with LB7) and it fit…

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Almost never
