Great filter great price

The retailer wanted 4x what I paid for this filter. Bought for a 2012 Nissan Murano. It seemed a little bulkier than the one he replaced. It fit in snugly, but the lid was a little stiff to clamp back on. Even if you're not mechanically inclined, there's really no reason you can't make an air filter. Seriously, type make, model, and year then air filter on YouTube. Someone somewhere filmed this video. Save some money.

First class air filter, the best protection of the engine against dirt.

This air filter has a higher static pressure than other air filters, but this filter will work as well as K&N air filters in the zero to sixty range, but K&N and most other air filters can I It will not work so good at keeping dirt out of the engine. I use Wix air and oil filters in all my cars and it's worth every penny spent because Wix filters are the best filters at any price.

Pros
  • Quality construction

  • Not as good as advertised

Fits my Subaru Forester 2.5X 2005

This is an old car and I used to replace the air filter with the same brand which I bought at an auto parts store. Revain's was a perfect fit and matched the one recommended by the Wix air filter website. I've noticed that some of the Carcarekiosk videos aren't quite right; The air filter is on the passenger side, not behind the engine. Loosen the hose clamp around the inlet, loosen the clamps and disconnect the sensor to remove the upper housing. You can then simply take out the old filter and

Goodbye K&N - it was fun, but I'm going back to WIX.

After using the K&N filter on my Maxim for many years I have decided to go back to basics with a paper filter. Why? I have replaced 3 mass air flow sensors on my car in the last 3 years and the good old K&N has become too expensive to service. "Yes" I cleaned the sensors and "No" I didn't overfill or use the wrong oil. It only makes sense that when you suck air through an oil-soaked rag, you're always sucking oil in with the air. While this isn't an issue on all cars, it was certainly an issueโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Not only useful for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Okay except: Spare Parts

I bought the Wix filter because of its reputation as "the best" among professionals and consumers alike. I can't say if it really works better than the others. What I can tell is that it was very tight (a little big) and the installation was trial and error. I couldn't just open the air box lid, take out the old filter, put in the new filter and close it. I tried closing the lid with the Wix filter inside but it just didn't work. I ended up removing the lid completely, peeling off ALL theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is great

  • Some bugs
